| After
32 years in the IT industry working for Chemical Bank and JPMorganChase I decided to hang up my hat and pursue other interests. This Web site is one of one of those interests.
The idea for the BlackProfessionalWeb
grew out of my frustration with the negative images of African
Americans that are portrayed in the news media across
the country. Our children and young adults see the faces
of African Americans who have been accused of wrongdoings plastered
on their television, computer screens and in newspapers on a daily basis.
However, they rarely see any mention of the many success stories about the
African Americans who are running large companies and corporations,
overseeing major medical operations, making great strides educating
our children and so on.
My goal with this Web
site is to spotlight a as many of the untold number of African
Americans who are not well-known but are making a difference
in their chosen professions each day. I've taken it upon myself to seek
them out and present their biographies on the BlackProfessionalWeb to
share with you.
These Black professionals
will leave a legacy of pride and hope for our children and their
children if we all do our part. With this Web site I am attempting
to do my part by sharing this information with you, my business
associates, friends, my sons and my grandchildren. I hope you
will do the same.
Sincerely,
Anthony M. Evans,
Sr.
